Campaigners at a local Solicitors have raised nearly £1,000 for charity after plunging 3,048 meters skywards for a fundraising challenge.Teenager Miss.E Taylor and Miss.H Broadley (23) who work as typists at the Stockton office of Crutes, took the daring leap at the Parachute Centre in Peterlee, Durham. Ellie, who took part in her first ever jump, described the experience as “incredible”. “Freefalling at 193kmph is easily one of the best things I’ve ever done and I just want to do it all over again now.”
Hayley Broadley, who recently did a sponsored bungee jump off the Transporter Bridge in Teesside, added: “This was even better than the skydive I did a few years ago, and although it was a bit cloudy, the adrenaline rush felt ten times as good.” To raise funds, the pair organised raffles and dress down days at work.
